This means FPT IS officially joins the digital signature market with its public digital signature confirmation system, FPT Certificate Authority (FPT-CA). FPT IS will provide three kinds of digital certificate including:
- Digital certificate for agencies, organizations, and individuals to help users authenticate electronic transactions such as internet banking, online stock trading, tax declarations, and online customs documents.
- Digital SSL certificate to endorse websites.
- Digital certificate "Code Signing" for software manufacturers to certify and ensure the integrity of their products.

At the licensing ceremony, Deputy Minister Hong said, "the Ministry of Information and Communications trusts FPT to implement the public digital signature authentication service effectively because of its extensive experience in the Vietnamese IT sector. It ensures the safety of electronic transactions and promotes international partnerships between Vietnam and countries in the ASEAN region as well as in the world."
The target customers FPT-CA focuses on is the strategic customers such as public finance organizations including the General Department of Taxation, the Customs Department, the State Treasury, and others in the banking and finance sector. FPT IS will also promote the benefits of digital signature services to the mass market.
