On March 28, 2011, FPT IS and Telecom Cambodia signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for their strategic co-operation. Senior leaders of both companies attended the signing ceremony.
According to the MOU, FPT IS will implement its FPT.BCCS and FPT.ICBS solutions for Telecom Cambodia. FPT.BCCS and FPT.ICBS developed by FPT IS are core software products for telecommunications providers. The system is currently being applied by many international and domestic telecommunications companies such as Viettel, Mobifone, Vietnamobile, EVN Telecom, Tigo Laos - Millicom, Metfone (Cambodia), and Unitel (Laos).

The director of the FPT IS representative office in Cambodia said "This event marks an important development for FPT IS in Cambodian telecommunications and, at the same time, provides a basis for cooperation in other fields and affirms the company's ability and the correct orientation of its globalization strategy."
The FPT IS representative office has been in operation for more than a year and has made many contributions to FPT IS's globalization strategy. According to Mr. Phung Viet Thang, Vice CEO of FPT IS, this event will create more favorable conditions for expanding FPT IS products for government, banking, finance and telecommunications in Cambodia, improve the company's position, and enable it to become the leading company for system integration and application software solutions in this market.
Telecom Cambodia belongs to the Cambodian Ministry of Telecommunications and provides telephone services, IPLC services, and television transmissions, as well as Gateway 001, international call 154, and other internet services with connections to Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.
