Deploying SMS Gateway in Myanmar

FPT IS signed a contract on May 7 to deploy the FPT.iSMSGW (SMS Gateway) system for Myanmar Post and Telecommunications (MPT). Accordingly, FPT IS will deploy the solution within one month from the date of the contract signing. The project team went to Myanmar on May 16 to evaluate, and install and implement the system.

SMS Gateway links to the SMS central system (SMSC), which allows telecom provider staff to connect with customers in their regular PC system via a LAN/WAN network to provide customer care, marketing, and advertising services.

The system can also connect to other systems including banks, game providers, stock and other services.
